Port Arthur convict settlement:

Freycinet National Park:
Choose from a variety of activities. Walk to the pass overlooking the perfectly shaped Wineglass Bay, stroll the white and sandy beaches, or observe the local wildlife. The park displays magnificent granite mountains all but surrounded by azure bays and white sand beaches.
Cradle Mountain National Park:
The park is located in one of Australia's World Heritage National Parks and is well known for its unique landscapes, and fresh, alpine beauty. There are many walks in the Cradle Mountain National Park, ranging from a ten minute stroll to a five day trek!
Launceston:
Follow the riverbank boardwalk to Cataract Gorge Reserve. The paved walkway through the Gorge offers views of the cliffs and the river below. The flowering cliff gardens are especially beautiful in spring and summer and abound with native wildlife.

Dating back to the 1830's the streetscape is famous for its historic Georgian warehouses which have been converted into galleries, theatres, cafes, craft shops and restaurants. The atmosphere is inspiring and entertaining highlighting the creative skills of local crafts.
Port Arthur Historic Ghost Tours:
By lanterns at night, an experienced guide will show you some of the more unusual features of Port Arthur. You will hear haunting stories of human suffering and survival. The parsonage is one of the most haunted buildings in Australia.
Historic Churches Walk:
Take a 1 mile, easy walk to the Scots, Memorial and Wesley Uniting Churches in central Hobart. The churches were built in the mid 1800's. You will enjoy listening to stories of the early days, and some of Hobart's identities, and see displays of old in their museums.
