Overview

With its diverse Latino populace and proximity to Cuba, Miami and South Beach incorporate these cultures into their food and neighborhoods, such as Little Havana.

Take an intriguing Art Deco Walking Tour of the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District in glamorous South Beach to view a thousand or so pastel-colored buildings. Enjoy a cool dip in the ocean or walk along the renowned beaches of this trendy neighborhood, also known as SoBe, just east of Miami between Biscayne Bay and the blue Atlantic.

From its glistening skyline, trendy nightclubs and shopping to beckoning beaches, deep-sea fishing and the world’s busiest cruise port, Miami and South Beach offer a mecca for pleasure-loving vacationers from around the world.

When to Go

Winter is clearly the best time to vacation in Miami, when temperatures are a welcoming 70s through 80s F. Spring is nice, as well. March and April are also popular times for vacationing students celebrating their spring break. Miami and South Beach really heat up during the summer, but there are lots of cool summer festivals to enjoy.
