When to Go

Seventy miles of sun-kissed coast and an average daily forecast of 70 F make San Diego the ideal vacation destination any time of year. Summer temps can reach as high as the mid-80s F. However, daytime winter temperatures rarely dip below the high-60s F. The best surfing conditions are generally from September to November. Whale-watchers will find January through early April the most opportune time to visit.
