Yosemite National Park is busiest in the summer, when warm, pleasant weather draws crowds from around the world. Spring is also a popular season, as the snow-melt swollen waterfalls of the Yosemite Valley cascade spectacularly down rocky cliffs. Want to have the whole park to yourself? Plan your visit for fall, when the trails are empty but the views still amazing. If you’re looking to take advantage of the excellent winter skiing and snowshoe hiking, be aware that some roads in the park close seasonally and chains may be required on others.
