What to Do

  • Steel Pier: located at North Beach and adjacent to the Boardwalk, this amusement park extends far out, by 1000 fee, over the Atlantic Ocean via its historic pier.
  • Atlantic City Boardwalk: the world’s largest boardwalk, led by a wooden-weaved walk that runs 4 miles and is lined with several fun and unique attractions. Saltwater taffy, casinos, boutique shops, arcades, and restaurants await!
  • Atlantic City Art Center: offers up an artistic and cultural experience to guests visiting the boardwalk. It can be found at Garden Pier, which also extends out over the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Ocean City: a neighboring island city to Atlantic City and offers a slightly different experience. Activities are family-friendly, alcohol free, and with highly protected beaches.

When to Go

March-August is a good time to travel to Atlantic City. The temperatures are warmer, presenting a good time to enjoy the beach and water. There are also several cultural, music, and food festivals that occur in these months, such as the Tidal Wave Music Festival, Downbeach Seafood Festival, and the Atlantic City Latino Festival. June-August is peak season due to school being out and families taking their vacations so crowds can be thick. Fall (September-November) bring cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and less crowds. While the Winter months can be quite cold, with very little beach activity, they also bring more savings and deals towards travel, especially within the casinos, which are open year-round.
