When to Go

Peak travel season often occurs during the summer season, December to February, when the weather is warm and ideal for water sports and activities. Festivals often occur during the summer months as well. Marine wildlife can be enjoyed year-round however, such as dolphin or whale watching tours. Due to New Zealand’s variety of seasons and the many different outdoor activities offered, adventures can be had year-round here.
