The ideal travel season for Queenstown is within the summer months, December to February. The weather is warm and comfortable, with daytime temperatures ranging from 68–86°F. This is also peak season however, so prepare for moderate crowds. The longer sunny days also lend themselves to numerous outdoor activities. Winter, June to August, brings the heaviest snowfall, and is an ideal time for skiing or winter recreation within the area.
